Amenity filter · Hot tub
A hot tub on a lodge break is only worth the premium if the tub is private, heated on arrival, and has a cover in good order. Half of UK parks fail one of those three tests. Below, three lodges that pass all three, across three price bands. The full 30-lodge shortlist sits on our primary roundup.
Three we would book
Forest Holidays Golden Oak, any park. Private tub on the deck, heated on arrival, cover replaced on the operator’s schedule. Verdict: the tub-quality benchmark for the UK market. Price band £250 to £360 a night. Hot tub Y.
Whitbarrow Village Silver Fell, Lake District. Private tub on lodge deck, log fire indoors, walking to Ullswater. Verdict: reliable mid-tier at a Lake District premium. Price band £220 to £310 a night. Hot tub Y.
Darwin Forest Elite, Peak District. Private tub, indoor pool on site, family sweet spot. Verdict: honest budget-mid pick that still passes the three tests. Price band £190 to £260 a night. Hot tub Y.
Three tips before you book
Ask the park to confirm the tub will be at temperature within an hour of check-in, in writing. Check the cover on arrival; a torn cover halves the heat retention overnight. Set the tub to 38C for adults, 35C for children, and no soak longer than 20 minutes.
