Lodges with hot tubs in [County]
Every park in [County] we’ve reviewed. Private hot tubs, dog policies, drive times from the nearest three cities, and honest verdicts on which lodge suits which household.
Cornwall carries the highest lodge premium in England outside the Lake District. A private-tub cabin near Fowey or the Roseland runs £220 to £320 a night in shoulder season, and the drive from the Midlands is 5 hours 30 on a Friday. That said, the inland-forest inventory around Bodmin Moor is a third cheaper and the walking is comparable. Below, the parks we would drive that far to reach.
Three we would book
Forest Holidays Deerpark, Liskeard. Golden Oak cabins in Deerpark woodland, private tub on the deck, 25 minutes to Fowey and the Eden Project. Verdict: the county’s quiet-week pick. Price band £250 to £340 a night. Hot tub Y.
Retallack Resort, Newquay. Family cabin park with lake, waterpark and gastro pub on site, sleeps 6, private tub. Verdict: fine for a week with young children, less compelling adult-only. Price band £210 to £290 a night. Hot tub Y.
Bosinver Farm, St Austell. Independent smallholding with 20 timber lodges, sleeps 4 to 6, private tub, chickens the kids can feed. Verdict: the honest one for a family that wants working-farm texture. Price band £190 to £260 a night. Hot tub Y.
Three tips before you book
Drive Thursday, not Friday, if you value the A30 south of Exeter. Book a mid-May or late-September week for coast without the crush. Ask about the tub cover if the cabin is coastal (salt wear on the vinyl is real).
