Editor’s top 10, mixed price bands

Peak District · Darwin Forest
Cedar Lodge · 6-person hot-tub cabin
Private tub heated on arrival, dog fee £45 per stay, weekend arrival premium £180. Mid-week Friday nights are the sweet spot.
Budget picks under £180 a night
Sub-£180 nightly rates with a private tub are rarer than the listing sites suggest. These six lodges hit the price band without dropping to a shared tub or a heat-on-request schedule. Peak District, Yorkshire, and Northumberland dominate at this price.
Mid-range £180 to £250 a night
The sweet spot for most households. Forest Holidays Silver Birch, Sykes hot-tub cabins in the Lake District, Darwin Forest lodges in the Peak District all sit here. Full weekly rates £1,240 to £1,680 outside school holidays.
Premium £250 plus a night
Where the premium is earned: floor-to-ceiling glass, log fires with a stocked basket, private jetties, and kitchens that let a household cook for six without queueing for the hob. Forest Holidays Golden Oak, Airhouses in the Scottish Borders, Whitbarrow Village top-tier lodges.
One thing to check before you book
Hot tub heating schedule. On a Friday afternoon arrival, half of UK lodges do not have the tub warmed and covered until Saturday morning. If your break is two nights, that is half your soak time lost. Ask the park to confirm the tub will be at temperature within an hour of check-in, and put the answer in writing. The parks in this list all confirm on arrival day at time of writing.
