Park review · Forest Holidays
Deerpark sits 4 miles north of Liskeard in south-east Cornwall, a working woodland Forestry England owns and Forest Holidays leases. 46 cabins across Silver Birch, Golden Oak and Golden Oak Treehouse grades. 25 minutes to Fowey, 20 minutes to the Eden Project, 45 minutes to Looe. The drive from Bristol is 2 hours 30 on a good day, 3 hours 45 on a Friday.
Three cabins worth knowing
Golden Oak 4, north cluster. Sleeps 6, private tub on the deck, faces mature oak. Verdict: the family sweet spot for the park. Price band £250 to £340 a night. Hot tub Y.
Golden Oak Treehouse 2, elevated. Sleeps 8, private tub, canopy views. Verdict: worth the premium for a milestone-birthday week. Price band £340 to £460 a night. Hot tub Y.
Silver Birch 2, budget grade. Sleeps 4, no private tub (shared facility). Verdict: honest budget option if the tub is not the point. Price band £180 to £240 a night. Hot tub N.
Three tips before you book
Ask reservations for a cabin in the 20s or 30s (away from the access track). Book a Monday-to-Friday for the £180 to £240 weekend-arrival saving. Bring midge repellent between May and September.
